Milan Klöwer is a Schmidt AI in Science Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oxford and Associate Research Fellow at Reuben College Oxford. He conceptualised and designed the “intuitive probabilistic meteogram” now applied to heat forecasts and created and runs this website.
Claudia Di Napoli is a scientist at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) who created the ERA5-HEAT data set and provides ECMWF’s data underpinning this heat forecast project. Claudia is partially funded by the TRIGGER project.
Karsten Hollander is professor for sports medicine at the Medical School Hamburg and the chief physician at the Deutscher Leichtathletik Verband (DLV, German Athletics Association). He is the main driver behind the application of the heat forecast, implementing it into heat illness prevention for athletes.
